Smithsonian Folklife Festival 50 years 50 objects

Commonwealth Games David Dixon Award

Once again, Graham was honoured to make the David Dixon Award trophy for the Commonwealth Games, Glasgow 2014, won by Francesca Jones.

New European Tour for "Silver of the Stars"

Graham collaborated with the late Alexander McQueen to produce the Absinthe Goblet showing in this touring exhibition. Also on show are his Claret Jugs from "The Millennium Collection for Bute House " and Mobias Bowl.

On the go since 2007, "Silver of the Stars" has travelled to venues in the UK, USA, Canada, China and Japan. The European Tour started in May 2012 in Krakow, Poland and will be moving on to Kolding, Denmark and Barcelona, Spain.

Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony 2010 , Dehli

Trecia Smith of Jamaica was named the winner of the David Dixon Award for the Most Outstanding Athlete of the Commonwealth Games. She was presented with a trophy designed by Graham and made in his workshop.

Dr. Graham Stewart, D Univ

On June 30, 2010 Graham was awarded the Honorary degree of Doctor from the University of Stirling in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Scottish Arts and Crafts. He is pictured here with Professor Gerry McCormac, Principal of the University and the Chancellor, Dr. James Naughtie.

William Hill (Ayr )Gold Cup

Graham was delighted to be asked to make the Gold and Silver Cups for the 2009 Ayr Gold Cup by sponsor's William Hill. The winning horse, Jimmy Styles, was ridden by the well known jockey, Frankie Dettori. The trophies commemorate the homecoming celebrations and the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns with the hand engraved inscription taken from Burn's poem "The Auld Farmer's New Year Morning Salutaion to his Auld Mare Maggie".

Opening of Ailsa Bay Distillary

An engraved bowl made by Graham was presented to HRH The Duke of Rothesay on January 19, 2009 on behalf of everyone at William Grant & Sons Limited. The gift commemorated the opening of the Ailsa Bay Distillary and the Duke's visit.

Silver of the Stars 2009-2010

Following the success of it's first World Tour (see below), Silver of the Stars is about complete it's second tour of North America in Calgary, Canada at The Nickle Arts Museum in May 2010. Graham created an absinthe goblet designed by the late fashion designer, Alexander McQueen. The second tour began at the Gregg Museum of Art and Design in North Carolina, then moved onto the San Francisco Museum of Craft and Design and the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria, Canada.
